GOP Iowa debate-tensions mount as candidates feel the field may be thinning

Republicans took the stage Sunday (early Sunday morning) in the first network television debate and it started with some taking shots at the republican candidate leading the polls, Mitt Romney.

You Tube debates proved to be interesting, but not revolutionary.

But that was not the fault of You Tube or CNN, but that of the candidates. The debate even started not with a question, but with a request , for the candidates to please try to answer the question. As usual, the candidates did their best to twist the answers to the questions into what they wanted to say, into the usual sound bite they always spew.

Ron Paul was right, and those who cheered Giuliani's rebutle were wrong.

In the second Republican debate held Tuesday in an early primary state of South Carolina, Congressman Ron Paul of Texas said in reference to the 9/11 attacks "They attack us because we've been over there, we've been bombing Iraq for 10 years. We've been in the Middle East."

First Democratic debate of the 2008 race

A dent in democracy.

On Thursday March 15, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation to move up the California presidential primary from June to February 5, joining several states with primaries that day. Many other states, as many as 15 are considering doing the same. The reasoning for this is to make their states more prominent in the campaign process, drawing attention and media coverage to their state. To me this is a very scary trend, and here's why.
